Preventing homelessness in Reading

Work and life skills centre appeal

In celebration of Launchpad’s 40th birthday, we are opening Reading’s first work and life skills centre so vulnerable people can rebuild their lives – and we need your vital help.

It takes more than a home to break the cycle of homelessness. Which is why, in celebration of 40 years of preventing homelessness in Reading, we are expanding our services and opening a centre so people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home can learn new skills, build confidence and get back into work.

With no government funding to help renovate the work and life skills centre, we are relying on the incredible support and generosity of Reading to help raise the funds and get this crucial service off the ground.

We need your help to refurbish the centre so it offers people in need the following bespoke facilities:

How can you help open the centre?

Whether you’re a Reading resident, from a community group, school or college; or you work for a local business – together we can raise £80,000 to transform the centre and change the lives of local people. Find out how you can help, and the impact your one-off donation or fundraising event can make on people in need.
