A qualified social worker, Ian gained valuable experience at the start of his career by working with adolescents and families in London. He then moved to the probation service, where he spent 18 years managing teams and developing group work programmes.

He worked for Hampshire County Council as a supporting people inspector before moving to Launchpad in 2006. An Evertonian, Ian loves reading history. He also likes to run and cycle. Badly. Ian was interviewed by our Patron Sir John Madejski. You can hear the full interview here >

Christina Dudley

Christina, Floating Support Officer

Leaving school with no qualifications and homeless at 16, Christina was then housed and had two children. She began volunteering in her children’s school. This led to a role as a teaching assistant and shortly after a welfare officer. Christina then worked with care leavers who had complex and high support needs.

She’s also worked for Stonham as a Support Worker and Support Coordinator. Christina returned to education and passed her GCSEs. She is now studying Combined Social Science at The Open University. Christina is passionate about helping those who are facing adversity.

Sharon, Volunteering Team Leader

Reading is Sharon’s home town. Her hobbies include black and white photography and looking after her ‘home zoo’ which includes two dogs, three cats and a parrot!
