1 x full-time (37 hours per week), Salary circa £24-£27,000 per annum FTE depending on skills and experience.
Launchpad is Reading’s leading homelessness prevention charity, providing vital information and support for individuals, couples and families who don’t have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their home. We recently celebrated our 40th birthday and are planning to open a new Work and Life Skills centre in Reading this year. It’s an exciting time for us!
Our services work in three ways:
Launchpad works to prevent homelessness with a drop-in centre for anyone who needs crucial housing or homelessness-related information and guidance, and our Floating Support team helps people in the community address more serious housing-related challenges before they get worse.
We aim to break the cycle of homelessness by providing temporary homes with bespoke support for up to 100 people in Reading for periods of six to twelve months.
Launchpad rebuilds lives to give clients the very best chance of success with a range of therapeutic activities, and support with education, training and employment.
You are an enthusiastic, efficient and organised team player looking to work in a small but dynamic department, providing help and support to the marketing and fundraising team. You’re willing to get stuck in, helping the team with day-to-day administrative tasks, and you know how to prioritise and juggle competing priorities.
Working with the Fundraising Manager, you’ll help plan and deliver Launchpad’s major annual fundraising events, and support the implementation of the community, education and individual fundraising strategies. You’ll also support the team with a wide range of activities, including managing enquiries, processing donations and co-ordinating fundraising resources.
Ideally you have events and administrative experience, are used to liaising with a finance team, and have worked in the charity sector. You know your way around a fundraising CRM system, are competent with Microsoft packages and have some experience of working with volunteers.
If this sounds like you, we’d love you to join us. Please read through the job description and person spec, and send us an application.
