Support
The people housed by Launchpad are also looking for support to help them overcome the many issues they often face including drug and alcohol misuse, mental health, unemployment, lack of confidence and self-esteem and offending history.
Launchpad’s support covers:
Housing support where the support worker helps with housing related support including budgeting, registering with and attending doctor or hospital appointments and helps with paperwork whilst building their confidence, communication skills and self-esteem (and includes a dedicated programme for people with mental health support needs)
Developmental support where the Education, Volunteering and Outreach (EVO) team aim to engage the person, provide them with access to opportunities that could help them make significant changes in the life and enable them to fulfil their potential.
Mizuno Half Marathon 2012
