Preventing Homelessness in Reading

Green Park Royal Berks 10K

We were the official Charity Partner of the Green Park Royal Berkshire Reading 10K 2017.

Green Park Royal Berkshire 10K, Sunday 21 May 2017

We were lucky enough to be the official charity partner of the Green Park Royal Berkshire Reading 10K. We had 18 runners on the day including our Patron Lord Carnarvon. Plus 6 year old Oscar running his first race the mini mile and 9 year old Lucie running 3K, both fundraising for Launchpad too.

It was a beautiful sunny day and our 20 runners in total have raised over £12,000 so far, with donations still coming in!

We’ll also had a team 20 race volunteers who got involved without the need to run and worked super hard on the drink stations on the route and at the end of the race.

Reading Half Marathon, Sunday 19 March 2017

The Reading Half Marathon is the town’s biggest athletic event, and it’s also an excellent fundraising opportunity. Every year we’re lucky enough to have supporters who choose to run and fundraise for Launchpad.

This year we had 14 runners running and fundraising for Launchpad including Amanda, Anna and Colin from Xactly, Peter and Richard from Century Link, Naomi, Jonathan, Nick and Celine the Ewe Move/Nibsy’s Team, plus Piers, James and Sauruv. Collectively they raised over £2,000!

Adam was one of our runners in 2016 and he raised over £1,000. Read about his brush with homelessness and why he chose to support Launchpad here.
