This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the Finance Manager in the financial management of Launchpad. The role will include overseeing budgetary control and maintaining financial records. Oversee budgetary control and maintain financial records of grant funded projects. Overseeing the financial management of donation and fundraising income. Maintaining accurate payroll records. Supporting and empowering Launchpad departments and staff to provide effective financial information and controls. Experience required includes: good levels of literacy and numeracy; Microsoft Excel, finance budgeting and reporting, general, sales and purchase ledger. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to financial control and problem solving ability.

Full time, 12 month Fixed Term contract, occasional evening / weekend work. £22 – 24K per annum depending on skills and experience.
You will be responsible for the set-up and management of our new domestic removals and porterage service social enterprise project. You will lead a team of volunteers and work closely with sponsors, supporters, clients and customers to provide an effective service, actively participating in the removals service we are offering our clients. This will involve lifting and manoeuvring heavy items. Additional tasks include supporting other funded projects and events associated with Launchpad and liaising with the Fundraising Team on the porterage of donations received from local sponsors.
You should have sound customer service skills and experience of domestic removals, combined with a high level of physical fitness. You will have a flexible and responsive approach to managing the differing aspects of this role. You must hold a full valid driving licence, including Class C, and previous experience of supervising a team is essential. You should also have good levels of literacy and numeracy (minimum GCSE standard, preferably A level), and computer skills in MS Office to intermediate standard.

Note Taker to the Board of Trustees. Four evening meetings per annum plus writing up time, £70 per meeting.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this role entails supporting the Board of Trustees by taking accurate minutes of the four full Board meetings that are held each year to agree the forward direction of Launchpad Reading. These are predominantly held on Thursday evenings 6pm-8.30pm, typically in January, May, September and November in central Reading.
You will have experience of minuting Committee meetings together with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages. Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal, punctuality, discretion and good attention to detail will also be required.
