Housing Officer

Full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, £22K – £24K per annum plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.

Reporting to the Housing Manager, the Housing Officer is responsible for providing a pro-active service in rent management and arrears tracking, property inspection, client liaison and handling complex anti-social behaviour cases. The role involves working with other agencies and organisations to provide an effective service. You will be part of a small housing team focusing primarily on rents management.  You will work closely with other team members to ensure that our clients and prospective clients operate within the Charity’s guidelines on a range of housing related matters.

The ideal candidate will have a flexible and responsive approach to managing the role. You will be pro-active and enthusiastic about the aims and services that Launchpad provides. As well as having experience of handling complex client needs and providing effective solutions, you will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. All candidates should have a sound knowledge of housing legislation and experience of county court procedures together with good levels of literacy and numeracy (minimum GCSE standard, preferably A level), including basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The preferred candidate will also have a relevant vocational qualification and knowledge of the social inclusion agenda including homelessness and local issues

Floating Support Officer

Fixed term contract until 31 August 2018. Full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, £20K-£22K per annum plus benefits, depending on skills and experience.

This exciting opportunity will involve you working with clients on a range of issues and help develop strategies with them to prevent homelessness, resettle into new accommodation and focus support on identified areas of need.  You will have multi-agency working experience along with experience of dealing with mental health issues, substance misuse and working with offenders.  You will also have previous experience of managing your own caseload of clients.

Floating Support Assistant

Fixed term contract until 31 August 2018. Full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, up to £18,000 per annum plus benefits depending on skills and experience.

Our Floating Support Service provides help to develop our customers’ skills and confidence to prevent homelessness. Areas we support include tenancy sustainment, benefits and budgeting, wellbeing, education, employment and training.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop outreach services and provide influence and direction for clients with multiple needs.  You will be assisting with the assessment process and ensure that clients are supported with any immediate interventions to help them with achieving their goals, such as with practical tasks to remain living and working independently.  If you are professional, approachable, and confident and have an empathetic manner whilst maintaining appropriate boundaries we would love to hear from you.
